We gather as a church family every week to share in something that we believe is pretty incredible: worship. We believe that we can truly encounter the Lord of all creation as we gather together. Worship is a time when we seek the presence of the living God in our midst, we seek to hear His words as we open His Word, and we respond to His presence with praise and adoration.
Sunday mornings at Garber are a time that our community gathers to fellowship, worship, hear from God's Word, and share in Christian community. If you are thinking about exploring Garber on a Sunday morning, don't worry about not knowing anyone or worrying that you'll stick out like a sore thumb. We have greeters who will greet you with a smile, and be able to answer any questions you might have.
All of the worship at Garber is centered around God's presence; and it consists of a time of praise and adoration, a time of offering back to God what He has graciously given us, a time of proclamation as the preacher proclaims the Word, and (approximately once a month) gathering around the Lord's table to encounter Jesus Christ through Holy Communion.
The style of worship often differs between our two worship spaces: the Sanctuary usually consists of praise assisted by organ and choir, often utilizing the great hymns of our faith; while Morris Hall usually consists of praise assisted by the worship band, incorporating many newer songs of praise. Our aim in all our gatherings is to encounter the living God as His people, give Him the honor and glory He is due, and to surrender to His will for our lives individually and corporately.
